Nairobi, Kenya – The Secretary General of the Somali Communication Workers Union (SOCOWU) joined over 300 delegates from 53 countries at the 5th ITUC-Africa Congress, held in Nairobi. This significant event brought together key figures in labor and governance to discuss pressing issues facing workers across the continent.

Notable attendees included Kenyan President H.E. William Ruto, ILO Director General Gilbert Houngbo, and ITUC General Secretary Luc Triango, who each delivered impactful speeches on the importance of solidarity and sustainable development in the labor sector.
